Lightwave 3d sucks for character animation.

At least that's what people who don't use IKBooster think. I know it is a diversion from the usual Newgrounds content I publish but I figured I'd show what i've been working on as a kind of "behind the scenes" look at the kinds of things that are being utilized for the Delura project. What do you guys think of the promo video?

I hope to get back to regular content for Newgrounds in the near future!

Damn, looks like it can make me a sammich too! Not that far fetched, now that I think about it....
Very compelling intro to the series, an awesome asset for countless 3D artists. Respect, yo.

God i can listen to you all night. :3,
Sounds great and ikbooster looks really impressive, maybe lightwave company will pick you up for demonstrations.

The fact that IKBooster was never documented and was never marketed was probably the single biggest mistake that Newtek (Lightwave 3d group) has made... because if people had known about what Lightwave was capable of 10 years ago (yeah, people could do this stuff in 2004!), it would probably be the topmost animation program today. Part of what made the problem worse is that the person who made IKBooster didn't speak much english, so most of Newtek's staff, even the guy responsible for making demo content, couldn't provide anything useful for users. It also doesn't help that there were people who felt their business was threatened by IKBooster (Messiah, people who sell autoriggers, etc.) so they did everything in their power to discourage people from using it.

Even despite the age of IKBoost and that it has fallen behind programs like MotionBuilder and Maya over the years, it still adds a ton of value to Lightwave and still makes it king when it comes to "value vs cost" ratio (among commercial programs).

Also, I wouldn't mind doing promo for Newtek. :)
