This is probably one of the best comedy pieces I've seen on Newgrounds this year. Heh, and it's all so true.

i wouldn't go that far, but woah what a compliment! Thanks.

Favorited. Incredibly entertaining. The bicycle bit at the end was awesome (and so true!).

I played the game multiple times just to laugh at the guy dying horribly. Left me in stitches.

This had a lot of potential to be a genuinely creepy thriller. I really liked the effect/audio you used when the person set the book on the table. I also enjoyed the cuts back to the person turning the pages to remind the viewer that the diary is being read. The page turning itself was a great tool for building suspense and overall pacing.

What I didn't like was the over-use of the rapid cuts and empty frames, which is not only incredibly cliche, but also unnecessary in many parts. The ending was kind of weak as well... like "oh so he's headless now... okay" rather than "woah, this makes my spine tingle!"

Aside from this and what others have already mentioned, this is otherwise quite a solid thriller short. I really liked the artistic style: bold with that worn and contrasted feel.

You've already seen my asskissery words from other places, so i'll just say it was a good fun watch.

On a side note, I can really see where you guys are coming from when you talk about perfecting color composition; it feels absolutely spot-on in this short. I don't only watch Wonders of the Universe because I love the series and the concepts and ideas behind it, but I also feel I have a lot to learn from it as well.

Some top notch work here, highly enjoyable and the visuals, cuts, and camerawork really made the whole thing come together.

Shorts like this don't get enough exposure on the front page!

Thanks for another entertaining installment! It is great to see the audio quality improving as well in comparison to the earlier ones.

Overall, not bad. Pretty good animation too.

Heh, I noticed the skeleton at 0:48. Hilarious!

Esquirebob responds:

Most fail to escape, it's an epidemic really.

The audio quality and pacing needs a lot of work for a short like this.

What the hell did I just watch??

The animation was fantastic.

Hello. I also like looking at illuminated screens as well as pressing buttons. We have a lot in common!
