Hammering away with Blender Compositing

Posted by Tanadrine-Studios - January 3rd, 2013

I may complain about Blender's setbacks... but the fact is that Delura EP 005.03 would not have been feasibly possible without Blender's compositing tools. While there are far better, more specialized compositing tools out there, I cannot afford to purchase them thus Blender is a great holdover of functionality until I can get my hands on those production tools.

The cool thing about this whole thing though, is that what I'm learning from using Blender's tools can likely be transferred to any other compositing program... so the time i've spent learning it isn't wasted. Months ago I knew very little of masking, compositing, and batch image manipulation... and now my workflow depends on it.

Oh, and I nabbed some free pixel art from Hyptosis which will be used in Delura EP 005.03 and also in some future episodes. Very generous of them to put it out there!

I saw those pages Hyptosis released, excellent choice sir. He's another NG dude I have the utmost respect for... Flash and 3D apps are quite daunting to master, especially when so many hours are needed to produce stuff!
